My Island Batik fabrics were chosen. They are from the Sand Dune Collection.
This collection has some of my favorite colors and I love the name of the collection as well as there are sand dunes very close to my house and they are beautiful. But I ran out of time! And now it is JULY.
However, the July Challenge for the Ambassadors is a Christmas project and as hot as it is, what a wonderful idea!
We always need a little Christmas no matter what time of the year. I did add one splash of red for traditional Christmas Colors! This is a very small quilt and is more like a wall hanging as it measures 23" x 22". It is not quilted as I want to try some new techniques and I don't want to rush. I will have it quilted by the end of July and will share it then.
Also I will be making another Christmas project so look for that sometime this month too.
Be sure and check out the other Island Batik Ambassors blogs for their Christmas projects. There are some great ones. What a host of talented friends I have!
Thank you for stopping by!

DeleteI think this is wonderful! That splash of red really makes it pop - well done!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it and thank you for your kind words!
DeleteNan, such a fun design concept. Looking forward to hearing how you quilt it. I know I have some ideas running through my head, if it were mine.
ReplyDeleteNan, What a clever idea combining the two months. It looks great. PS. I love the video - it made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Adele, my age is showing as I love that song and I love Johnny Mathis.
DeleteHi...I'm just catching up, and I love this. I admire anyone who can hit two projects/deadlines with one piece. I love this, and I can't wait to see how it is quilted.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, it was purely by accident that it worked out that way!
ReplyDeleteI love this! It is exactly the kind of quilt I have been wanting to make for my kids! Did you use jelly rolls?
ReplyDeleteLove the block of red....clever.
