Meet my Guest Blogger - Benita Skinner

Welcome my Guest Blogger - Benita Skinner

I know you will enjoy reading her story and seeing all the lovely things she creates.

Welcome Benita!

Thanks Nan for inviting me to share with your readers!

I've been designing quilt patterns & offering them through Victoriana Quilt Designs - online since 2001.

Four years ago I moved across the country to live off grid, in a forest in Nova Scotia.

My nature walks are always inspiring to my designing and my peace of mind!

For those interested in knowing more about this part of my life, you can read about it here.

A year ago, I was lucky enough to be able to adopt Ash & Coal, who have become a most important part of my life.

They were both born in the same barn - to different mothers, and they are buddies!

I would love if you visit my large site and want to be sure you don't miss the many resources I have for quilters there!

To start, I have free quilt patterns available for you to request.

I have many Printables forQuilters  where you will find Quilt Math Calculators, Graph Papers and more!

The Library is also a great place for you to explore!

My current Block of the Month is Celebrating Flowers.

We're exploring some silk ribbon embroidery.

I love to design both appliqué quilts and pieced quilts. My recent Scraps Galore  was my 2013 best seller!

My two newest quilts are my Pet Stuffies - Calico the Cat  and Timmy the Turtle.

She's new to the Stuffies baby quilt series.

And coming later this month - Happy Scrappy, another scrappy quilt using 2 1/2" squares.

I hope you enjoy your visit!

I'd love to hear what inspires your quilting?

Benita, thank you so much for sharing with us. I love the pictures of Coal & Ash. Also you have given my readers so many links where they can get good information as well as some free patterns. Scraps Galore and Scrap Happy are lovely patterns and we all have scraps! Thank you again for being a Guest Blogger.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and I thank you for stopping by. Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter as I offer specials every month. Just add your name to the list.

Until next time...

Nan
