For the month of December the Island Batik Ambassadors were asked to do a Scrappy Table Topper. As I had not finished the October challenge which was Creative Borders, I decided to combine the two challenges. (There was no challenge for November.)
I had started on a quilt for the October project before I went to Quilt Market. I was not able to get back to it until December.
Here is the quilt top I made in October with a mixture of fabrics from the Happy Hounds Collection and the Blue Moon Collection.
I started adding borders and borders and borders and below is the final product.
I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. It is a great size for a card table!
But I didn't stop there! For more scrappy table toppers, I made placemats! With my little silver tree, they are "purrfect".
And I am not finished yet. I just started a table topper yesterday with hexagons using a method from Mary M. Hogan - Fast-Fold Hexies from Pre-cuts & Stash.
I am having so much fun with this as I can sit and fold while watching all the Bowl games over the New Year's holiday. Yes, I do love football.
Here is one of the hexies that I have made. I am going to make a table runner. As you can tell I am trying to make up for lost time. I will share that picture when it is finished.
Thank you for stopping by and I wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year!
Love your quilt and placemats
